The use of YouTube is in the interest of presenting our online offerings in an appealing manner. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Zoom
We use the "Zoom" tool to conduct conference calls, online meetings, video conferences, and/or webinars (hereinafter: "online meetings"). "Zoom" is a service provided by Zoom Video Communications, Inc., based in the USA.
Note: If you access the Zoom website, the provider of Zoom is responsible for data processing. Accessing the website is only necessary to download the software for using Zoom.
You can also use Zoom by directly entering the meeting ID and, if applicable, other access data into the Zoom app.
If you do not wish or are unable to use the Zoom app, the basic functions can also be used via a browser version, which is also available on Zoom's website.
Various types of data are processed when using Zoom. The scope of the data depends on what data you provide before or during participation in an online meeting.
The following personal data may be processed:
-
User information: first name, last name, phone (optional), email address, password (if Single-Sign-On is not used), profile picture (optional), department (optional)
-
Meeting metadata: subject, description (optional), participant IP addresses, device/hardware information
-
In the case of recordings (optional): MP4 file of all video, audio, and presentation recordings, M4A file of all audio recordings, text file of online meeting chat
-
When dialing in by phone: information about the incoming and outgoing phone number, country name, start and end times, possibly further connection data such as the IP address of the device
Text, audio, and video data: You may have the opportunity to use the chat, question, or survey functions in an online meeting. To this extent, the text entries you make will be processed in order to display and, if necessary, log them in the online meeting. To enable video display and audio playback, data from your device’s microphone and any video camera will be processed during the meeting. You can turn off or mute the camera or microphone yourself at any time via the Zoom applications.
To participate in an online meeting or to enter the meeting room, you must at least provide your name.
We use Zoom to conduct online meetings. If we wish to record online meetings, we will inform you transparently in advance and, if necessary, request your consent. The fact of the recording will also be displayed in the Zoom app.
If it is necessary for the purposes of documenting the results of an online meeting, we will log the chat content; however, this is generally not the case.
In the case of webinars, we may also process questions asked by participants for the purposes of recording and follow-up.
If you are registered as a Zoom user, reports about online meetings (meeting metadata, data on phone dial-in, questions and answers in webinars, survey functions in webinars) can be stored by Zoom for up to one month.
Automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.
If there is no contractual relationship, the legal basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest in these cases is the effective conduct of online meetings.
Otherwise, the legal basis for data processing when conducting online meetings is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as the meetings are held within the scope of contractual relationships.
Personal data processed in connection with participation in online meetings is generally not passed on to third parties, unless it is intended for disclosure. Please note that content from online meetings, as with face-to-face meetings, is often precisely intended to communicate information with customers, prospects, or third parties, and therefore intended for disclosure.
Other recipients: The provider of Zoom necessarily receives knowledge of the above data, insofar as this is provided for in our data processing agreement with Zoom.
Zoom is a service provided by a provider from the USA. This means that personal data is also processed in a third country. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider of Zoom that complies with the requirements of Art. 28 GDPR.
An adequate level of data protection is ensured on the one hand by the conclusion of the so-called EU Standard Contractual Clauses. As an additional safeguard, we have also configured our Zoom settings so that only data centers in the EU, the EEA, or secure third countries such as Canada or Japan are used for conducting online meetings.
Further information on Zoom's data protection can be found at: https://zoom.us/de-de/privacy.html.

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. Cookies help make our services more user-friendly, effective, and secure.
Some cookies are “session cookies.” These cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your browser session. Other cookies, however, remain on your device until you delete them yourself. These cookies help us recognize you when you return to our website.
You can monitor, restrict, or prevent the setting of cookies using a modern web browser. Many web browsers can be configured to automatically delete cookies when the program is closed. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
The setting of cookies necessary to carry out electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (e.g., shopping cart) is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure technically error-free and optimized service provision. Insofar as other cookies are set (e.g., for analytics functions), these are treated separately in this privacy policy.
Google Analytics
Our website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider of this service is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses "cookies." These are small text files that your web browser stores on your device and that enable an analysis of website use. Information generated by cookies about your use of our website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The setting of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As the website operator, we have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize our website and potentially our advertising.
IP anonymization
We use Google Analytics in conjunction with IP anonymization. This ensures that Google truncates your IP address within EU member states or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
Browser plugin
You can prevent your browser from setting cookies. However, some features of our website may be limited as a result. You can also prevent the collection of data regarding your website usage, including your IP address, and its processing by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Objection to data collection
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent the collection of your data on future visits to our website: Deactivate Google Analytics.
Details on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
Data processing agreement
To fully comply with the statutory data protection requirements, we have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.
Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics
Our website uses the “demographic features” function of Google Analytics. It allows reports to be created that contain statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google and from visitor data of third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described under “Objection to data collection.”
